Brenda Lowe-Johnson
Brenda currently serves on the Hagley Ferrymead Community Board. She's Ngai Tahu taswegian Scots and Irish and married to a Samoan chief which makes her truly a multicultural Kiwi. She has lived in the ward for 23 years and has extensive community knowledge and has pioneered humane but realistic programmes for low income people to meet their urgent needs and empower them toward independence. She has decided to stand again as she wants to see the powers of community boards re-established and is enthusiastic about using her experience to help the council in its key role of building a strong safe and healthy community.
